“Keep moving forward.”

– Rich McWatt

Rich McWatt is a team lead for product development at Food Spring, one of the largest and fastest-growing targeted nutrition businesses in Europe. He has been working in food nutrition for 15+ years and is dedicated to finding solutions to nutrition problems, both in his professional and personal lives.

Prior to joining German-based Food Spring in early 2019, Rich was co-founder and product developer at BrainWorks: a brain health snacks company. At BrainWorks, he was heavily involved with and responsible for numerous areas of the business, including product development, food manufacturing and food packaging, to name just a few.

Rich was also one of my mentors when I was developing my own cricket-based protein bar business in 2019. His generosity of time and advice is something I’m very grateful for, and Rich has been kind enough to offer his support to any aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners if they would like it.

In our wide-ranging conversation, we discuss how Rich comes up with ideas; the processes of bringing a product to market; future food trends; advice to any entrepreneurs looking to get started in business; and so much more!
