What I’m Doing Now
Updated 18th November 2025 from my home in England
Opinions
I recently publised this 2025 Opinions page.
Each year, I’ll write down my opinions on some of the world’s biggest questions, and the year after, I’ll see how much these opinions have changed (or not).
Then, in 10 years time, I’ll have an online journal of what I was thinking.
Let me know if you do something similar.
New job
I started a new job in paid media marketing about 4 weeks ago.
You can learn about it on my LinkedIn.
(Don’t worry, though; I wouldn’t expect you to give a flying f*ck.)
Football commentary
After putting it off for 20 years, I’m living my dream of commentating on football matches.
And I’m absolutely loving it!
I commentate on home games for my local football team, Harrogate Railway Athletic, and I put out live commentaries on their YouTube channel. I also assistant Harrogate Town’s media team. I’m sharing everything I’m doing and all the behind-the-scenes on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
I’ve also created a football commentary portfolio on Notion which I’ll be regularly updating.
Eventually, I’d like to create a showreel like one of these (Patrick Kendrick’s, Ewan Dunlop’s, and Sam Armitage’s) and share it with producers.
I’d also like to secure freelance commentary work with AMS Sport. I’m taking part in their one-day commentary course this Saturday.
If you know anyone in football commentary or want to get into the industry too, drop me a line.
I’d love to connect :)
Exploring the world
My joy for travel is back.
Me and my mum recently did a road trip across Ireland, and I’ve got plans to visit Tim’s Club HQ in Panama this March with my girlfriend. This follows a two-week trip around Japan last April.
Events from last year reminded me of this:
Life is way too f*cking short.
Go out and enjoy it.
Fitness
My health goal for this year is pretty vain:
I want to get beefy.
I’ve been tracking my weight, workouts, and calories with help from Reysu’s Lifetracking System Journal, and I’m slowly seeing progress.
Onwards I go.
39 Rules
I’m continuing to follow my 39 Rules for a Delightfully Simple Life.
