#1: Zero To Mastery (ZTM): August ‘21 — Jul ‘23

ZTM hired me as a content writer and SEO consultant. I wrote a number of blog posts for ZTM, including this one about using AI in SEO, which received a backlink from backlinko.com (DA 74).

The total number of keywords zerotomastery.io ranks for on Google has increased by 640% since August ‘21 (15,267 in March ‘23 vs 2,062 in August ‘21.)

And according to Semrush, the number of keywords ranking in the top 3 positions of Google US search results has increased by 472% (206 vs 36).

This has translated into organic traffic increasing by 308.26% in the same period. (8,357 visits in March ‘23 vs 2,047 visits in August ‘21.)

#2: Gun.io: February ‘23 — July ‘25

I joined Gun.io as their SEO Content Writer.

The team’s goal was simple. They wanted to rank for their target keywords on the first page of Google US search results and be found by employers looking to hire web developers.

Given how competitive the world of hiring web developers is, I devised an SEO content strategy focusing on targeting niche, high-converting keywords.

For example, rather than target keywords like “hire javascript developer” (which are extremely competitive), we targeted keywords like “hire dedicated javascript developer”.

These niche keywords typically have a lower search volume than broader keywords like hire javascript developer, but when people search for them (and then click on our site), they’re more likely to take action.

Since writing a number of blog posts about programming languages, the site was ranking on page 1 of Google US search results for a number of our target keywords, including “hire dedicated javascript developer” (position #1).

Also, traffic to the site through organic search was up 23% (4.3K visits in Jan ‘23 vs 5.3K visits in March ‘23)
